Frequent failures of Iji

The error means ImageJ ran out of available computer memory (not hard drive space).
The first thing to do is make sure that ImageJ has a large enough “maximum heap” size: Edit › Options › Memory & Threads.
Change “Maximum Memory” to something larger (at most, 1000 MB less than your computer's total RAM).

What is the difference between Fiji and ImageJ? Fiji is a distribution of ImageJ + ImageJ2: it bundles the core application with a curated selection of plugins pre-installed.

Once you installed the required libraries, you can enable the automatic downloading of updates on Fiji to get the latest updates.
To do so, click on the Help > Update… button.
On the next menu, click on the Manage updates sites button.

Troubleshooting Tips

Problem solved? Still can't connect to Iji? Continue with Step 2.
Turn it on again. Clear internet cookies and browser cache.
Still stuck and not enjoying Iji, then go to Step 3.
Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall running in the background. Now, if you can access Iji, be informed that your security software is causing problems. Try adding Iji to the set of trusted sites.
DNS is a service that translates Iji into a machine-readable address called an IP address. In most cases, this job is done by your ISP. If only specific sites are not opening, it is likely to be corrupted.
